I wished upon a star today

To let me be yours forever

I wished upon a star today

To part from you never

I closed my eyes and felt the glow pierce through my heart

I prayed so that from my life you’re never apart

I wept a silent tear,

With the thought of you not being there

I laughed a thousand laughs,

With you happiness never seems to be enough

I wished upon a star today

So that at least that one wish of mine comes true
